Flora and a couple of Fauna

Some of the pretty flowers that bloomed this summer in my neighborhood.

There are a few of these trees in the area but I don't know what they are.  Their flowers are all pink and 'fuzzy'.

A close up of the flowers and leaves on that tree.

And a couple of Cormorants paddling around in Buttermilk Bay.

Stunning - I REALLY think you should take up professional photography as a 'business' (if you can organise a photoshoot with Vincent, I'm holding your camera bag baby!)

  3. That big white flower looks like a satellite dish!

I love cormorants - I love the way they hang their wings out to dry!

And I love that their other name is "shag"...

  4. Its SO embarrasing but I made a big deal of having my daughter look up that pink bushy flower for me at the library when she was a kid (I was trying to teach her how to look things up, so I chose something *I* wanted to know!) ... and I had the name and I have totally forgotten it since then!

    DORK.

Lovely photos, and somebody tell ME the name of it too!
