May We Never Forget

The Sphere used to be in the WTC Plaza. This is the damage it sustained on 9/11. It now rests in Battery Park, with an eternal flame.

  3. They are just showing Flight 93 on TV, and I'm crying before it's even properly started. Those people were so brave, they deserved to prevail.

How fitting this post is...we were damaged but still stand. Val, I've seen that on TV quite a number of times and it still is gut-wrenching. To have that presence of mind to carry out such a plan is deserving of telling the story forever.

  6. I cry every time I see those towers falling and even though it's been 9 years, it feels just as painful to think about it as it did the day it was happening.

Yep, we were :0( I was watching a documentary called '9/11 State of Emergency' last night (fascinating/horrifying/life-affirming, all at once) and I shivered when they were talking about the 4,000+ planes still in the air 'cause I just happened to be on one of them....
