How fitting this post is...we were damaged but still stand. Val, I've seen that on TV quite a number of times and it still is gut-wrenching. To have that presence of mind to carry out such a plan is deserving of telling the story forever.
I cry every time I see those towers falling and even though it's been 9 years, it feels just as painful to think about it as it did the day it was happening.
Yep, we were :0( I was watching a documentary called '9/11 State of Emergency' last night (fascinating/horrifying/life-affirming, all at once) and I shivered when they were talking about the 4,000+ planes still in the air 'cause I just happened to be on one of them....
9 years and still unbelievably painful.....

ReplyDeleteThey are just showing Flight 93 on TV, and I'm crying before it's even properly started. Those people were so brave, they deserved to prevail.
