Last year there was an irruption of snowy owls in this area. Some of them have stuck around, or at least returned, but not near as many as a year ago January. I decided to try and find one on Plymouth Long Beach which is where they've been spotted. Got up there by about 9 and started my walk.
I was fairly bundled up but I'd neglected to grab a hat and scarf, which I regretted immediately. It was very windy and cold.
If I'd had a 4 wheel drive, I could have driven out to the farthest point, 3 miles away, but I didn't so I was on foot. The stuff I read online said to stay on the road, rather than the beach.
That's looking far across the harbour at the very end of Duxbury Beach.

I walked at least a half mile or maybe even a mile, with no luck. A guy drove down from the end of the beach and said there weren't any down there at all today. So I turned around and headed back, eventually climbing over the breakwater to the beach to look for glass.
Unusual olive'ish coloured piece.
I wanted to snag this brick but I forgot my baggie and my pockets were full of a zoom lens, phone & car keys.
Tide was coming in.
I saw this in the parking lot but I have since found out that it's a clothing brand, not a socio-political-economic statement.
