We Are Most Definitely NOT Amused......

Literally running out of places to shovel this white crap.  This was taken at about 10:00 AM yesterday as winter storm 'Neptune' was slamming into us.  For some reason, they are naming winter storms now.  The one we had in late January was called 'Juno'.

By 2:00 pm, the snow had stopped falling but it was windy and the temps were plummeting.  It was 26 when I shot the first pics, and 18 by afternoon.  Our plow guy showed up to clear the driveway and OMG I really don't know what's going to happen when this mess finally starts to melt.  The pictures really don't do it justice.  Those plow piles are over 5' tall.

Very worried about the roof and how to get the snow off it. There no yard access and I know Russell won't want me on a step ladder.

I'm also worried about the weight of the snow on this deck.  I can't possible shovel it.  It's at least 3' or more high.

At least this was a short blizzard, unlike the 36 hour one in January.

I've pretty much given up hope that this is ever gonna stop.

    1. Something to do with insurance I think. Or making people take it more serious if they are named.

  2. I've been praying for your snowstorms to stop. Today in MO, we have anywhere from 2 inches to 5 thus far. I have about three. I started to complain then remembered you guys. :)

    1. Everyone's praying for it to stop and it's not....we're just getting more. Another storm coming in tomorrow with 5 or more inches. I'm so miserable that it's bordering on complete and utter despair. I was not cut out for this climate.

  3. Wow! That's all I can say, wow! I've lived where it snowed (Montana) but never this much snow throughout the season. Usually a lot would melt between storms and most we got at a time was maybe 12 inches. I feel for you all.

    1. You lived in Montana? What a gorgeous state that is. This white mess isn't melting at all. Today it's so cold. Dangerously cold.

  4. We are to get more snow tonight into Tues.,but we don`t have near the amt. that you do. I am minding our very frigid temps though, 0 degrees & single digits. Just thing when that all melts....Phyllis

  5. Ah, the moody snow shots that are incredibly romantic when admired from a comfortable seat in a warmer climate... but tokens of rage when you have to be the photographer mucking through it.

Mud. Lots of mud when it melts.
