I've enjoyed viewing your great photos of all the wonderful buildings with their amazing detailing and architecture but must say that the first 3 pictures just blew me away with their vibrant array of color. What a lovely way to start my day. :)

DeleteLove the architecture, the stern colonial style of those first buildings. But my faves here are of the wharf and the tall ships. The sea just calls to me. . .
ReplyDeleteI've always said that I could never live in a landlocked state. I need the ocean. Puget Sound wasn't even a good enough substitute for the coast.
DeleteInteresting town, would love to visit one day. That is a giant tiller. I guess they needed more than one person in heavy weather. Lovely buildings.

DeleteWe were in Plymouth many years ago, visited the Mayflower and the Mayflower restaurant right on the quay. We had a trailer and camped nearby.
DeleteOh so you saw the infamous 'pebble'...I mean, Plymouth Rock? lol
DeleteYup I surely did - was I disappointed? I had previously thought it was a headland not a lump of rock. Not even a very big lump of rock as you implied with pebble.

DeleteI'm so glad you posted pictures of the ship. When I saw it in the first one, I hadn't scrolled down yet and was trying to see it better, then, voila! You had them. Just an amazing place to visit.

DeleteYou live in such a clean, well-kept, gorgeous corner of the world, JoJo. It gives off a sense of pride and humility.
ReplyDeleteWell yeah....some of the areas are well-kept, but driving to them shows a different side of the towns. There's trash and graffiti, run down neighbourhoods, etc. Then you get to the historic core and it's a whole other world.
