Wings Neck Lighthouse & the Pocasset River

The same day that I went to Scusset, I took a drive over to Wing's Neck to check out the lighthouse.  All the info on line says that it can be rented out for people to stay in it, but nowhere did it say that this is a private area.  I actually got kicked out of the area by a super nasty old man.

But not before I took some pics.

Then on the way home, stopped to take some pics at the Pocasset River.  I've been going over the bridge to and from Scraggy Neck and the view is so pretty.  This wetlands is on one side of the bridge.

Train trestle

The other side of the street is the marina and access to the Canal and Buzzards Bay.

The bridge is sky blue.

When I went back to my car,  I spent some time watching the crane, hoping he'd do something interesting...

Like fly away....

...and come in for a landing.

  4. I can't believe you got kicked out of a place that gets rented out. How is anyone supposed to go and see if they might like to stay there??? Weird. And rude. But a gorgeous place.
And that blue bridge...to die for. I'm glad the crane did something worth waiting for ;-)

  5. Your pictures are gorgeous, girlfriend, BUT WHERE'S THE SHOT OF THE NASTY OLD MAN????? Did he shake his cane at you? And did spittle come out of his dentures while he was yelling? Did you trip him? Want me to come beat him up for you? I will, you know... nasty old man... harrumph...
