Spring Has Sprung.....FINALLY!

It was a damn long winter this year.  So nice to finally see the flowers come out and know that it's truly safe to put away the shovels, bag of salt and winter coats.

Pretty sunsets

One gorgeous day, we went browsing in a couple of junk shops, including The Clam Shack, that I've featured here before.  I could easily spend an hour photographing everything outside the shop.

We got ice cream cones after stopping at Surf & Sand so I could get some new wind chimes.  They're blue.  They're celestial.  They sparkle.

I made my final trip to Scraggy Neck till fall, to scour the beach for glass.  The day I went, the Cleveland Ledge Lighthouse was finally visible without haze or fog.

I counted my pieces when I got home; I was expecting it to be around 59-60, but was surprised that it was exactly 100.

While I'm not looking forward to the upcoming humidity, it's nice not to be freezing and dealing with snow.

  1. You always take such beautiful pictures JoJo. I am amazed how much beach glass you find. I bet folks there cut their feet to ribbons if they walk barefoot on the beach. Obviously people know better there and wear shoes. LOL Oh well, I have rambled enough.

I don't even know where to begin, JoJo. The lighthouse is what really got my attention. Gorgeous! Those flowers! Holy amazing. Your camera just rocks. The detail, I could see the bee and it was like I was going to get stung! Hooray, first spring than summer. That means the beach!! I see the glass you mentioned on my blog the other day. Great finds.

  4. Love beachy things and collecting off the beaches. I'm not a sun-soaker, but rather a beach-walker.

Beautiful closeups of the flowers! Captured at a moment of freshness. I also am fond of lighthouses, and we have a few in my corner of the continent too!
