Totally Worth It
Full tank of Gas....$30.00
Breakfast at the Rusty Tractor.....$10.00 One night at Kalaloch Lodge....$160 Spending a beautiful day beachcombing on the Washington Coast.....Priceless. More pics to follow.....
I wish I could live out there. Talk about a slow pace. You don't need a clock. It's so relaxing. I love the ocean. I grew up hearing it and smelling it always. It's hard to live this far away from the coast.
How beautiful! We've lived in Washington for more than 20 years now, and still haven't done a respectable job exploring the coast. I'll need to get your recommendations.
I did the math on what I paid for gas the other day and made Tess feel MUCH better: I bought 5.8 (UK)gallons (slightly larger than US gallons), which equated to $37.50 - and the price here has increased TWICE in the week since I bought that. 80% of that cost goes straight to the Government in tax. There will come a point when only the very wealthy in my country will be able to travel anywhere, so we'll have regressed completely to 'the good old days'. Sorry, not what your post is about at all, but it pisses me off to be relentlessly screwed by my own Government!
Lots of nice pictures, but the one showing all the logs at the top of the beach was impressive, illustrating the power of the ocean. wow. thanks for sharing
I'm glad you had a good time, you really deserved that break.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a lovely time anyway :0)
Awesome! What a beautiful place. You are so lucky to be able to go there and enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteP P - We've been here nearly 11 years and I have yet to do anything substantial in Seattle, only 35 miles away.
ReplyDeleteDiane - I know, Americans should quit complaining about gas b/c you guys and Canadians have been paying high prices for years.
Maureen - Washington is an amazing state! You should visit sometime!
