Now that I've uploaded a bunch of pics to my Facebook photo albums, I'll have some subject matter on which to draw, if I want to keep my blog limping along.

Foliage in Northern California starts slowly in October and peaks at Christmas. This picture was taken in December, 1994.

This moth was really big, and sitting in the bushes in front of our townhouse. I have no idea what kind it is.
It was as big as a butterfly.

Sheep in Humboldt County.
This is the day after Thanksgiving. The night before, Brian flung the turkey carcass into the woods behind our townhouse. We woke up to vultures all over the ground and in the trees, fighting over the carcass.

How difficult was it to get that hat on Oliver?

Beautiful photos! I don't think I have ever seen a sea lion in the wild.

Actually Fen, we've been working our way up the evolutionary chain. Started w/ fish, then hamsters, guinea pigs, a rabbit, a hedgehog, then the doggies. lol

ReplyDeleteWhen my daughter was small we had the teddy bear hamster and the small mouse but no guinea pig. They have a tendency to bite hard enough to break the skin. Love the park pixs though my favorite are Yellowstone.

The foliage picture is amazing. I was in the Yukon recently and got some great shots of the colour there.
