I didn't see them in 76 b/c it was a mob scene and my parents went the 2nd time but I was either working or on the west coast.JoJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165375435543044068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30172845.post-56076340668563260322014-08-06T12:01:39.628-04:002014-08-06T12:01:39.628-04:00LOVE the tall ships photos... so cool.LOVE the tall ships photos... so cool.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02391529407395709451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30172845.post-71904125163777118102014-08-05T18:10:03.931-04:002014-08-05T18:10:03.931-04:00I guess so! lol It's just that once the '...I guess so! lol It's just that once the 'parade' gets going in the canal, it looks so dinky. 7 tugs in tandem in that big body of water doesn't really look like much. I mean it's not like you don't see that kind of boat traffic, parade-like, on a daily basis. lolJoJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165375435543044068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30172845.post-15573070708102628182014-08-05T18:08:42.147-04:002014-08-05T18:08:42.147-04:00Thanks! If you were to click on that pic to make it bigger, you can see the rigging of it way out in Buzzards Bay. Walking around here never gets old.JoJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165375435543044068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30172845.post-48384443832231639742014-08-05T18:07:05.422-04:002014-08-05T18:07:05.422-04:00This area is so quaint sometimes you could just di...This area is so quaint sometimes you could just die. lol And a lot of people do have boats in their yards as decoration, usually used as a flower planter. It doesn't need locks either. It was much narrower when it first opened in 1914 but it's a major shipping lane with huge container ships and barges and such. It saves over 100 miles of travel around the Cape on treacherous shoals. It was built b/c of the hundreds of shipwrecks on the Atlantic side.JoJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165375435543044068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30172845.post-83622632440284963052014-08-05T07:47:29.794-04:002014-08-05T07:47:29.794-04:00Looks a lot of fun though JoJo.
