Of course Russell had a lot of his own commentary about the town spending that kind of money on a dam that didn't need to be fixed or updated. lol And their 'self congratulatory plaque'. We wanted to get married in Sandwich but the town is a real pain about where you can do it downtown in public (bandstand at the lower pond, etc), and the other places are overrun with tourists (beaches, boardwalk). This was nice and private.JoJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165375435543044068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30172845.post-90282415449820705812015-06-30T07:06:19.562-04:002015-06-30T07:06:19.562-04:00Oh yes, they do use it. I remember seeing them when I was a kid, at the run downtown next to the grist mill at the lower pond. There's also a huge herring run here in Bourne on the side of the canal.JoJohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18165375435543044068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30172845.post-51264495391971941792015-06-29T22:42:40.440-04:002015-06-29T22:42:40.440-04:00You had your wedding in such a beautiful spot! You had your wedding in such a beautiful spot!Rawknrobyn.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15997241410192066577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30172845.post-40124826479923913662015-06-29T22:39:11.791-04:002015-06-29T22:39:11.791-04:00Glad you found it.
